Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has backed the sit-in protest by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, saying the Congress is taking such measures “for the people and the students.”Kharge alleged that the government has failed to file an FIR despite assurances that action would be taken against those responsible for the incident.
He also said the victim, who was hit by a pellet gun, still has pellets and shrapnel in his body and is present at the protest site.Kharge said he spoke to Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi and urged them to continue their protest peacefully. He also accused the government of not following through on its promises.
